Hailing Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps efforts to empower missile program, Head of Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi underlined missile policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran will never change.
“Iran's missile policy is the most logical method of deterrence which has no contradiction with international regulations and resolutions,” Boroujerdi noted.
Iran’s senior MP added, “For a country involved in an 8-year imposed war where many of its towns were attacked by missiles, missile policy will be a deterrent method against probable encroachments.”
Iran has accepted not to seek a nuclear bomb, and also prohibits and opposes weapons of mass destruction, including chemical bombs, Boroujerdi said, adding “Such a country, in case free from any appropriate missile capability, actually stimulates the enemies to start attack.”
Boroujerdi went on to condemn western interference in Iran's missile policy, saying the position of the US, the UK, France and Germany lacks any sense of logic and Parliament Members condemn such an action.
I ask these countries to take my advice and not to beat a dead horse, Boroujerdi underlined; “Iran's missile policy will never change.”
He noted world and regional countries are well aware that Iran’s missile capability is solely for the purpose of deterrence, and no country will be threatened by Iranian missile attacks.
